Spark Infrastructure
Spark Infrastructure is a privately owned company. It is owned by Pika Bidco Pty Ltd, which is an entity owned by funds and/or investment vehicles managed and/or advised by Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co. L.P. and/or its affiliates, Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan Board and Public Sector Pension Investment Board. Previously, Spark Infrastructure was a publicly owned company that was listed on the Australian Stock Exchange.
Spark Infrastructure’s investments are in leading essential energy infrastructure businesses within Australia. Our businesses serve over 5 million homes and businesses and are also heavily involved in supporting the transition in Australia’s electricity system to one that is increasingly reliant on renewable energy. Being part of this energy transition is important to us.
Our 4 investments are:
- 49% of SA Power Networks, the sole operator of SA’s electricity distribution network, supplying around 880,000 residential and commercial customers across the State
- 49% of CitiPower and Powercor (together known as Victoria Power Networks), distributing electricity to over 1m customers in Melbourne and western Victoria
- 15% of Transgrid, the largest high-voltage electricity transmission network in the NEM, connecting generators, distributors and major users in NSW and the ACT, and
